Officials said a car – either a white Ford Contour or a silver Dodge Neon – with several men in it approached the FBI agent’s car about 5 p.m. and fired several shots.
The officer was cut in the attack, but was not hit by gunfire. He was taken to an undisclosed hospital.
A motive for the attack has not been identified.
“I don’t want to make any statements until I have all the information,” said Special Agent Mike Brooks.
FBI and Cincinnati police officials are working on the case.
“They are arrmed and dangerous, so we want to get them into custody as soon as possible,” said Cindy Combs of the Cincinnati police.
